Welcome to Eastbourne Healthcare Partnership
EHP is an established healthcare provider and NHS partnering organisation contracted to deliver clinical imaging services on behalf of the NHS providing “Direct Access” diagnostic imaging across East Sussex. We are a local provider of X-ray, Ultrasound and DXA scanning (for Osteoporosis) from our established locations serving the local population.
OUR SERVICES
X-RAY
X-rays are a type of radiation called electromagnetic waves, similar to light, except that they have a much higher frequency, which makes them invisible to the naked eye. An X-ray is a widely used diagnostic test and is used to examine the inside of the body by creating a medical image.
ULTRASOUND
An ultrasound scan is a painless procedure that uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of internal parts of the body. There are no known side effects for this medical technology.
DXA
A DXA scanner (Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) is used to measure the density of the bone. The scanner produces a small amount of radiation that passes through the body and as it does so measurements are taken for the hip and spine regions.
